MANGEMENT SYSTEM POLICY OF PT PETROKIMIA GRESIK

PT Petrokimia Gresik is intended to dedicate itself to be the producer of fertilizers and other chemical substances which are highly competitive and wanted by consumers. It is also dedicated to be a leading and sustainable company by implementing Quality Management System, Environment Management System, Safety and Health Management System through integrated approaches. It further committed to:

  1. Assuring consumers’ satisfaction by providing fertilizer products, Chemical and service products through service of excellence in terms of optimum quality, precise amount, types, place, time and price.
  2. Preventing from significant environment pollution through air emission controlling, liquid and solid waste as well as noise by implementing Reduce, Recycle, and Reuse (3R) programs.
  3. Preventing from an accident and disease rooted from facilities and basic facilities damage via controlling any incoming risk potentials to create excellent culture and working system.
  4. Adhering and obeying any regulations and other on-going requirements and conditions. It is also demanded to be responsive to any safety issues, global and conservative environments, other resources and implementing Responsible Care and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

This policy is communicated to all employees, partners, suppliers and other stakeholders to be recognized well. The effectiveness then is reviewed periodically at least once a year.

2. STRATEGY

The followings are the strategy implemented to achieve the purposes and objectives

  • Selecting a design /technology which is safe for the environment
  • Operating production units optimally through highly efficiency, optimum Quality, good Environment, and Safety
  • Operating controlling units and waste management system, through effective routine supervision as a medium of controller.

- Source Reduction (material Substitution, Process Change and Equipment Modification)

- On Site and Off Site Use (recycle, Reuse & Recovery)

  • Regularly updating & evaluating regulations related to environment management system.
  • Implementing efficient space settlement and increasing environmental management supports.
  • Building sensitivity, awareness, and environmental sensitivity
  • Developing networking with related institutions
  • Implementing Environment Management System ISO 14001

3. ORGANIZATION

The Environment Bureau was formed as a unit of work that specifically addresses environmental concerns since 1990, is now the name was changed into the Department of Environment and K3 (Dep. LK3).
